My sister Katy is an incredible blogger. She has written amazing blogs for my sister and I found here and here. So I thought that I would give her the honor to write a post about her. Enjoy:)
When I was in eighth grade my older sister Katy married a marine named Daniel. They had the most magical wedding in the world, filled with men in uniforms, swords and tiaras. It was a VERY beautiful wedding.
The same weekend of her wedding she moved across the country to Virginia to begin her career as a military wife. I would get to see her every few months, and it would mainly be for Christmas and summer. And when they would come it would only be for 2 weeks.
It was hard and not easy growing up as the baby of the family. Katy went to college when I was in fifth grade, so I didn't really “grow up” with her. Fast forward to February of this year, and I finally got to have my big sister home for more than 2 weeks. Daniel deployed, and has been gone for about 6 months, and will be returning home soon. The past 6 months with Katy and Ginger have been AMAZING! We have bonded and have gotten so much closer that I thought we would ever be. From birthdays to spring break, from hard times to good times, from pain and bad news. These past 6 months with my sister have made me grow tremendously.

Katy has been a hero in my books, and i feel all the respect in the world should go to her. She is a wife, mother, sister and friend.
Katy and Ginger will be missed in TX, but I’m glad that she will be reunited with her love soon. Its been about 2 months since I’ve last seen my boy and I get to see him in ONE week and I thought that I couldn't make it for 2 months, but Katy has taught me patience and diligence as she has been going through the same thing.
I have no idea how she does it, but she does! I love you so much Katy and I am so glad to have you as my sister. You are an amazing women of Christ and a great example to follow. I will miss you and Ginger so much but we shall see each other soon!

Melly! This is the sweetest thing! :0) I love you so much. I feel like this has been an extra crazy summer for both of us, and I'm so glad we could be there for each other. Thank you for your kind words!
